For modern fencing, the traditional French grip is slowing going extinct. You'll see them at clubs for beginner, but no one actually uses them in practice or competition as they don't go along well with modern fencing bell guard (functionally), offer no leverage, and are ergonomically horrendous!
The Stormbreaker breaks that pattern. It is a French grip with very few French grip problem and a lot of pistol grip benefit. You get the extra reach when pommeling, the texture grip is a lot more ergonomic and the slight curve fit the palm much better. You can hold it close to the bell guard and the thicker neck and curve handle give almost the same amount of leverage a pistol grip gives.
Come with both grip and pommel.
